Geeks and Glaciers, my blog telling my story of my trip to the arctic. I am Lucy, 23, and I am about to finish my Masters in Astrophysics by completing my final semester in Svalbard. 4 and a half months spent studying the upper polar atmosphere amongst other astrophysicists and surviving in the cold conditions. My first 6 weeks will be 24 hours of darkness and my last 6 weeks will be 24 hours of daylight, with some transition period between the two extremes in the middle. It’s an incredible opportunity, and one I am very excited to be able to share with you all.
